Whether you are travelling alone, in a group or with your family,  our self-guided cycling formula allows you to choose your departure and arrival dates, the duration of your route and your pace of travel. Once again, a structured cycling training plan will help you to prepare you for such cycling rides. Do avoid drinking alcohol especially before starting the itinerary, look after yourself and your bikepacking experience !

Our Self-Guided Cycling routes are designed to provide you with maximum freedom. (Every single tour was done by Georges several times solo and can be done with a minimum amount of bicycle ‘luggage”/bikepacking). Many independent travellers choose motorhome/campervan holidays for their cycling trip with friends or family members to provide support. Electric vehicles is our number one appealing option for environmentally conscious drivers.

For all cycling itineraries starting in Thonon-les-Bains, our Rep will meet you at your hotel to give you the latest information, draw your attention to particular aspects of the ride and will be able to answer any query related to your chosen ride. If a personal meeting is not convenient, you can always reach our Rep by telephone/email/whatsapp.

As soon as your registration and payment have been processed, we will provide you all of the documents essential for the smooth running of your cycling route:

• A complete and detailed road logbook .

• A Satnav track to download (www.ridewithgps.com - including an altimetric profile).

• A list of recommended accommodation (except for the Grand Tour Chablais and Grand Tour Leman where we can help you book your accommodation).

• A distinctive frame plate to attach to your bike (except for Corsica).

• Two Evergreencycling.com sticker

• A list of recommended equipment for the smooth running of your cycle route.
  

Ride with GPS has a free basic membership, unfortunately it will not allow you to use the navigation system. However, you can purchase a basic monthly membership which can be cancelled any time.

*you must contact us for the delivery cost outside Western Europe. All letters / parcels will be sent recorded delivery which is more expensive.

Ebike: all our cycling routes can be done with an electric bike. Please do not hesitate to contact us for more information.

www.evergreencycling.com is not a travel or Tour agency. We only offer the official cycling routes information created and organised by Georges Rossini which have been copied without authorisation by many individuals and cycling tour operators since their creation and sold at outrageous prices.

Not included in our Self-Guided Bikepacking formulas:

• Flights/trains/buses (trips) to the places of departure (outward) and arrival (return) of our cycling routes.

• Accompaniment, assistance as well as the transport of your luggage throughout the duration of your cycle route.

• Prior Reservations for all your accommodation. 

• All your personal expenses (all your reservations, accommodation and living expenses).

• Your personal Civil Liability insurance.

• Your personal travel insurance in the event of repatriation (make sure it includes a cover for Covid-19).

The popularity of the electric bicycle is growing more every day. In order to make our routes accessible to as many people as possible, Evergreen cycling offers you the possibility of participating to any of our great tours in the Alps and Corsica using an electric bike. With Evergreen cycling, you can finally realise all your dreams of climbing the most prestigious passes of the Alps, thanks to the electric assistance ; long range recommended due to the weight of the bike if you are climbing (e-bikes with the highest range can rack up 200-250 miles on a single charge). Road infrastructure developments are regularly being modified, we have tried to keep, as much as possible, all the details of the original rides created by Georges but some modifications were inevitable. We appreciate your feedback on any of the evergreen cycling routes you have completed. We are trying to update information as soon as it is received.

https://www.bikeregister.com/ to mark your bike in the UK. There is a fee depending on the selection chosen. However, the Metropolitan Police do organise regular Bike Marking days during which the registration is free.

Pre-ride bike check.

• Inspect your tires. Inflate your tires to the proper psi and check for any holes/tears/defects.

• Examine your bike chain. Spin your pedals counterclockwise to ensure your chain is moving smoothly. If necessary, you’ll need to clean and oil the chain.

• Check your brakes. Squeeze your brake levers to make sure they are functioning properly.

• Do a test ride. Make sure that nothing else needs your attention.
